- This piece is a tribute to the great Duke Ellington and the song “In a Sentimental Mood” composed by him and equally great John Coltrane. In this piece I re-created the first page of the original piano sheet music Ellington wrote for “In a Sentimental Mood” by hand, in white charcoal. May their music forever live on.
